Some apps work entirely on your device. Others offer accounts, cloud sync or advertising. This policy has three parts:

General provisions apply to every CodeBeard app.

Feature-specific provisions apply only to the apps listed in each section.

App-specific disclosures summarise what each app does.

If a section does not list an app, that section does not apply to it.

This policy covers only the versions published by CodeBeard on the platforms listed in section 2. Who we are

The data controller for the CodeBeard apps is:

Roberto Pistolato, independent developer publishing apps under the name CodeBeard
Venice (Venezia), Italy
Email: support@codebeard.me
Website: https://www.codebeard.me

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, because the law does not require one for our processing. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we ask for your consent through Google’s consent tool before ads use your data in ways that require consent.

Friendly can read walking distance from Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iOS). Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

We do not use AI services to process your content.

We do not build marketing profiles or sell data to data brokers.

Third-party advertising SDKs may collect technical and diagnostic data themselves. This is described in section 6.1.

A. GENERAL PROVISIONS (all apps)

5. General processing

5.1 Data stored on your device

Every app stores some data locally on your device, for example:

your content, such as transactions, phrases, favourites, game progress, pets or bills;

your settings;

simple counters, such as how often an ad or review request was shown.

This data stays on your device unless a section below says otherwise. We cannot access it. It is deleted when you delete it in the app or uninstall the app, subject to your device backups (section 12).

5.2 Technical data when an app connects to the internet

When an app connects to an online service (for example Firebase, Apple or an ad network), the service receives technical data that the connection needs, such as your IP address, device type, operating-system version, app version and language. Each service processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy.

5.3 “Other apps” list

Some apps show a list of other CodeBeard apps. To build the list, the app asks Apple’s public App Store lookup service for app information, sending the country/region code of your device. Apple receives your IP address as part of the request.

This applies to the iOS versions of Qunto (free version), Apptly, Lenxo, QIZzer, Antiqua, BillTo, Enigmo, Cringi and Friendly.

5.4 Support requests

If you contact us by email or through a contact form linked in an app, we process:

your email address;

the content of your message;

any information or files you choose to send, such as a diagnostic log you decide to share.

We use this only to answer you. Some apps open a Google Forms page for contact requests; in that case Google processes the data you enter on our behalf.

Qunto’s iCloud-recovery tool lets you email a diagnostic log, which may include the names of your Qunto accounts, to a support address shown in the app. This happens only if you choose to send it.

5.5 App stores

Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) handle downloads, purchases, refunds and reviews as independent controllers, under their own privacy policies. They provide us with aggregated, anonymised statistics. We do not receive your name or payment details.

B. FEATURE-SPECIFIC PROVISIONS

6. Features used only by some apps

6.1 Advertising

Applies to:

Qunto (free version only; not shown with an ad-free purchase or subscription, or in Qunto Pro).

Apptly and Lenxo (free version only).

QIZzer, Flipzzy, Antiqua, BillTo and Cringi.

Enigmo (only when advertising is enabled).

Friendly (not for Friendly Plus subscribers).

These apps show ads (banners, full-screen ads, app-open ads and, in some apps, optional rewarded ads) through Google AdMob.

In some apps, mainly on iOS, AdMob can also fill ads through mediation partners, such as:

Meta Audience Network

Unity Ads

InMobi

Liftoff (Vungle)

Data the advertising providers may collect:

advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA, only if you allow tracking; Google Advertising ID on Android);

IP address and approximate location derived from it;

device and app information;

ad interactions, such as views and clicks;

diagnostic and performance data of the ad SDK.

We do not send your app content to advertising providers. For example, they do not receive your transactions, appointments, phrases or pet data.

Purposes:

showing ads;

limiting how often you see them;

measuring ad performance;

preventing fraud;

with your consent, personalising ads.

Your consent:

In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, the app shows Google’s consent message (Google User Messaging Platform, IAB TCF) before ads use your data in ways that require consent. If you refuse, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which use less data and no ad profiling.

On iOS, the IDFA is available only if you allow tracking through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your device’s Google/Ads settings.

Changing your ad choices: where the app offers a privacy or ad-consent option in its settings, you can review or withdraw your consent there. You can also use your device’s advertising and tracking settings (see above), or contact us and we will help you.

The advertising providers act as independent controllers for the data they collect. Their privacy policies:

Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Meta: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/

Unity: https://unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy

InMobi: https://www.inmobi.com/privacy-policy

Liftoff: https://liftoff.io/privacy-policy/

6.2 Accounts and sign-in

Applies to:

Apptly: Google on Android; Google or Sign in with Apple on iOS.

Lenxo: Google or Sign in with Apple.

BillTo: Google on Android; Google or Sign in with Apple on iOS.

Enigmo: optional; Google on Android; Google or Sign in with Apple on iOS.

Friendly: Google on Android; Google or Sign in with Apple on iOS.

To create and manage your account we use Firebase Authentication, provided by Google. This is also not end-to-end encryption.

6.8 In-app purchases and subscriptions

Applies to:

Qunto (subscriptions and one-off purchases);

Apptly (subscriptions on iOS, one-off purchase on Android);

Lenxo (one-off purchase);

Friendly (Friendly Plus subscriptions and one-off purchases).

Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. The app receives only the confirmation of what you purchased and its status, and stores it on your device to unlock features. Friendly also stores in your account which premium benefits (for example app icons) are unlocked. We do not receive your payment details.

6.9 Notifications

Local notifications are scheduled on your device and do not involve our servers.
